Scoring and Awards

  • We care about our dancers and want to make this as fair as possible!

    Sportsmanship:

Good sportsmanship is a must by all who attend HUSTLE events. We expect fairness and respect for one’s opponent, as well as graciousness with awards/placements.

Part of competing with HUSTLE is to learn and grow; as well as accepting your placement, keeping spirits high and preparing for the next competition.

    Scoring:

We will have the same 3 judges adjudicate a division and a 4th judge who will monitor that routines are in the correct division. If judges see a routine is not in the correct skill level or style they will move the routine out of the division.  The routine will be adjudicated on its own merit and will not be eligible for specialty, high point or overall awards.

    Awards:

There may be several award ceremonies throughout the event depending on the amount of entries.

HUSTLE will rank each routine according to the judges’ scores.

    Ex: 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

**If there is only one routine in a division during the competition, that routine will fall in a point system and be given an award based on the score.

    Ex: MVP, Gold, Silver, Bronze.

    MVP 300-296

    Gold 295-274

    Silver 273-263

    Bronze 262- 240

Solo/Duet/Trio- All participants will receive an award for attending.

    • All 1st place, MVP and Gold placements will receive an additional award.
    • HUSTLE will have specialty awards and highpoint winners in each skill level.

Team day- Each studio and routine will receive an award/gift and every dancer attending will get a HUSTLE gift.

    • There will be specialty awards and highpoint winners in each skill level.
    • We will have studio team overall awards and one lucky GOAT winner at the end of the event.
    • Each studio will nominate someone from their teams to win the AKT award.

The POWER round is exclusive to our February 2026 event.  3-5 solo, duet, trio routines will be selected to complete a second time for a chance to win the  POWER round.
